Choosing the Right Termination
Amphenol SurLok Plus sockets are available in four termination types. All share the same external appearance — the difference is internal conductor connection.
⬤ Threaded Bar (M)
Stud passes straight through — most common for bus bars and flat terminals.
⬤ Outer Thread (LD)
Stud inserts from outside. External threads for through-panel mounting.
⬤ Inner Thread (LM)
Stud screws in from inside — flush mount, ideal for confined spaces.
⬤ Crimp (H)
Direct cable crimp — no stud required. Best for permanent assemblies.
Colour Coding
Orange — Positive (+)
Positive DC connections. Immediately visible for safety checks.
Black — Negative (−)
Negative DC connections. Standard colour for ground and return paths.
Applications
Compatibility Matrix
All plugs and sockets within the same series are compatible — any termination type socket mates with any plug of the same size and colour. Pre-assembled cables include the connector already attached.
